Route 7 | 11 Taskforce
To: All Law Enforcement Agencies Along Routes 7 & 11

The Virginia DMV Highway Safety Office and the New Market Police Department are coordinating a Click It or Ticket Enforcement Blitz for the May CIOT mobilization. The goal for 2012 Route 7-11 Taskforce is to again go the entire distance of Route 11!
Agencies along Route 7 & Route 11 will concentrate efforts along these routes during the May Click It or Ticket Mobilization, May 21 through June 3, 2012. Friday, May 25, 2012 will be the blitz target date for the entire task force. We would like all localities along Rt. 7 &11 to participate again.
I am not sure of your planned activities for the May CIOT mobilization, but we would like to have everyone in the Task Force regions to participate in this Blitz on May 25. If we could flood Rt. 7 & 11 with CIOT signs and high visibility enforcement from Northern Virginia to Frederick Co and from there to Bristol area on Rt.11, we would have a tremendous impact on our roads. Other regions in the state conduct these types of activities during the May CIOT with great success. I am aware some agencies have obligations with the Route 460 Blitz. There is no period set for the enforcement. I know that each jurisdiction has a lot of obligation during this time period.
As we, all know; non-belt use is a major factor in our highway fatalities here in Virginia. Let us make a difference in saving lives in VA!
