NHTSA Speed Campaign – July 10-31
Speeding has continued to be a highway safety issue in Virginia with 441 speed-related fatalities in 2022. To help reduce the number of speeding fatalities, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is holding a campaign for speed prevention, Speeding Wrecks Lives, running July 10 – 31.
To prevent crashes, injuries, and fatalities caused by speeding, DMV encourages our partners to share these creative materials provided by Traffic Safety Marketing (TSM) to remind drivers in their communities to slow down and follow the speed limit.
Here are quick links to some of the resources mentioned at NHTSA's Speeding Wrecks Lives virtual event on July 10, 2023 to kickoff the campaign:
We thank you for your continued support in saving lives on our roadways.
